Our purpose / Emporia, Kansas

Belonging should be
part of everyday life.

Project Be Enough Foundation is a Kansas nonprofit building community around mental health awareness, autism acceptance, and self-belief.

Why this matters to us

Being included.
Being understood.
Being yourself.

Everyone deserves a place where they can participate without having to prove their worth.

Our purpose is to make room for people who feel overlooked, disconnected, or unsure where they belong. We want acceptance to show up in ordinary moments: a welcoming introduction, an activity with choices, a familiar face, and an invitation to come back.

We are starting in Emporia, listening to the people we hope to serve, and developing experiences that can become a dependable part of community life.

What guides the work

Three beliefs.
Practical commitments.

Mental health awareness

Make room for honest conversation.

We want people to feel welcome without pretending everything is easy. Our planned educational conversations will make support information easier to understand and leave personal sharing optional.

Autism acceptance

Welcome different ways of participating.

Acceptance means listening to autistic people and designing with their input. Our planning includes clear expectations, activity choices, and room for breaks. Each event will explain its actual access arrangements.

Self-belief

Your next step can be your own.

Writing, art, and shared interests can offer ways to express identity and explore goals. We want people to have encouragement, time, and choices as they decide what matters to them.

How awareness becomes action

A message.
A welcome.
A reason to return.

Our approach begins with messages that invite people in. Planned gatherings will give those messages a practical home through shared activities, creative expression, and community education.

We intend to listen after each gathering, improve the experience, and report what happened. Consistency and participant feedback will guide what grows.

You do not need to be a gamer, an artist, or have a diagnosis to express interest. Age ranges and participation details will be specific to each announced event.

Where we are now

Formed in Kansas.
Building locally.

The foundation is formed as a Kansas nonprofit corporation. Our programs are in development, and we are inviting community input, volunteer interest, and conversations with potential partners.

We provide community connection and information, not therapy or crisis care. Federal tax-exempt recognition has not been announced, and this website does not accept donations.
