Mental health acceptance. Human connection. Emporia, Kansas.

You don't have
to earn
your worth.

Project Be Enough is building a community where mental health matters, different minds belong, and every person has the opportunity to recognize their worth.

COME AS YOU ARE ✦ CREATE CONNECTION ✦ GROW AT YOUR PACE
Our mission

Enough, before
anything else.

Before the achievements. Before the approval. Before you have it all figured out.

Our mission is to build belonging and strengthen self-worth through inclusive community experiences, mental health education, and creative expression. We want people facing isolation, stigma, or self-doubt to find connection and a place to participate on their own terms.

01 / ACCEPTANCE

Be yourself.

You don't have to fit one mold to belong. Different minds, interests, and ways of participating are welcome.

02 / CONNECTION

Find your people.

A game, a creative project, or a simple conversation can be a starting point for getting to know someone.

03 / SELF-WORTH

Back your own story.

Your pace is yours. Asking for support and believing in yourself can be part of the same journey.

Our program framework

Connection with
a purpose.

Three program directions. One shared purpose: helping people feel accepted and connected. Each is in development. Explore the proposed programs ↗

In development / Shared Adventures

A seat at the table.

Cooperative games and creative gatherings with welcoming hosts, beginner-friendly introductions, and space to take a break.

What we’re working toward: repeat connections and a stronger sense of belonging.

In development / Community Connection

You don't have to go alone.

Guest-led educational conversations and clear information about local support. Participation never requires sharing a diagnosis or personal story.

What we’re working toward: greater understanding and clearer routes to help.

In development / Co-Sign Yourself

Your story. Your path.

Writing, art, and personal projects that give people room to explore their identity, interests, and goals. Sharing is always optional.

What we’re working toward: confidence expressing yourself and taking your next step.

Our shared purpose

A place to belong.
A reason to believe.

You belong in this story.

Project Be Enough begins with a simple belief: every person deserves acceptance, connection, and the opportunity to recognize their own worth.

We are building a community movement in Emporia centered on mental health awareness, autism acceptance, and self-belief. Through shared experiences, creative expression, and honest conversation, our aim is to make belonging part of everyday life.

Lasting change starts with listening, showing up consistently, and building alongside the people we hope to serve. As we work toward nonprofit formation, that purpose will guide the programs we create and the commitments we make.

From belief to practice

A movement is built
by showing up.

Start locally. Listen closely. Build something people can count on.

Our first priority is a thoughtful pilot in Emporia. This roadmap describes the work ahead—not completed milestones.

FIRST / LISTEN & DESIGN

Build with the community.

Invite people with lived experience, prospective volunteers, families, and local professionals to help shape the first gathering and identify participation needs.

NEXT / PILOT & LEARN

Make connection tangible.

Plan a small gathering with a clear audience, trained hosts, accessible activity choices, and an easy way to give honest feedback.

THEN / RETURN & IMPROVE

Earn trust through consistency.

Use what participants share to improve the experience, establish a recurring rhythm, and publish a clear account of what we learn.

Trust through transparency

Purpose needs
accountability.

We intend to earn trust through honest reporting, clear boundaries, and care for the people who participate.

People before promotion.

Our proposed standard is consent before photography or personal storytelling, and no expectation that anyone disclose a diagnosis or difficult experience.

Participation on your terms.

We’re designing around respectful introductions, optional activities, room for breaks, and feedback from people with different access needs.

Clear roles. Responsible support.

Community hosts create connection. Qualified professionals provide clinical care. Volunteer preparation, age-appropriate supervision, and response procedures are part of our launch planning.

Evidence before claims.

We plan to track gatherings held, attendance and return visits, volunteer participation, and optional feedback on belonging. We will report community outcomes without presenting them as proof of medical treatment.
